Us Brits are pretty familiar with the crazy weather changes of good old blighty, but the constant shift in conditions can play havoc with your wedding day plans. You may have planned to have your wedding photos out in the gardens of the venue, but then torrential rain hits, or you’re wearing a beautiful strapless gown and the temperature had plummeted to under 10 degrees. It’s the kind of thing that keeps a bride-to-be up at night.

Read MoreI saw a post in one of those Facebook groups the other week, you know the ones, buy/see/rent/sell your soul for your wedding etc. (don't even try to deny that you haven't joined one, we all know everyone does, even if it's just for the giggles!) But it got me thinking, someone asked if they needed to wear white wedding shoes, someone else asked what shoes to wear with an Ivory wedding dress, someone else was struggling to find "bridal shoes". To me, if a bride wears shoes to her wedding, they're bridal shoes right? So I decided to look through some of my galleries to remind myself what shoes some of my brides had worn and upon further inspection not that many had opted for whatever a traditional white/ivory bridal shoe is meant to be, so here's an idea of what shoes you can wear with your dress!
Read MoreHattie and Tom got married last July at the lovely Chichester Village Hall, which is a beautiful village hall in Godalming. They had their official ceremony a few days before, which meant they could have a personal celebrant led ceremony at the venue. They chose Chichester Hall, because it has so many options and it cut the budget right down for them. It was a DIY wedding, which I really love because you get that strong sense of family and friends helping out. I love shooting weddings at village halls, because it’s always so chilled and there’s no strict schedule. This hall in particular was lovely and light inside and had a cricket pitch outside which meant plenty of open space to take couple photos.

Well, firstly I LOVE colour, all of the colours of the rainbow make me super happy so I find smoke bombs a fun way to inject a little bit more colour into a photograph. If you're having an outside wedding in a field, you're surrounded by a lot of green, pop an orange and yellow smoke bomb behind you and it really makes you stand out in your photo more!
