Ceilidh & Lukes Relaxed wedding at the Dreys Kent

When Ceilidh and Luke first got in touch with me about their relaxed wedding in The Dreys, Kent, I was so excited – they were planning the most relaxed outdoor wedding with a pudding bar & glitter bar. Ceilidh and Luke are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Getting ready

I began the morning at a super cute cottage close to the venue, where the girls were getting ready together, and it was really chilled, because everyone was in a good mood. Ceilidh wore a beautiful lace dress by Blue by Enzoani and Luke wore a suit by Anthonys formal wear with a bespoke lining and embroidered collar and they looked so perfect. The girls made their way to the venue in a super cute camper van whilst the boys finished getting ready at the venue itself.

The ceremony

The wedding took place at The Dreys, and was a stunning legal ceremony. They had a guitarist, which was just magical. The Dreys has 2 options for the ceremony, there’s an outdoor woodland area where you can have a humanist ceremony, or the option to have a legal ceremony inside a super cute wooden shelter. They said their I Dos in front of a beautiful foliage hoop. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then the celebrations began.

The afternoon

The wedding reception took place outside, which was adorned with beautiful flowers and awesome signage. It was amazingly sunny, possibly the hottest day of the year so far, so was the perfect day for guests to hang around the venue.

During the reception they had a live singer and guitarist, which gave the afternoon a really chilled vibe. Jam & Tea served the most amazing canapés out of vintage china. During this time I took the couple and immediate family to the outside woodland area to do an epic confetti photo and some super fun couple photos too.

For dinner the had sharing anti-pasti boards, followed by an amazing bbq, and it was absolutely delicious. After the meal they had some wonderful speeches, then the couple cut the wedding cake and the party got started. They also had a glitter bar, which everyone loved. Just before the dancing got under way I took the couple for a few dusk photos amongst the trees and festoon lights with some smoke bombs for added fun too! Fox and Braces were on hand to set the music for the evening for everyone to party the night away!
