Relaxed Back Garden Wedding // Norwell, Newark

I'm officially on a blogging mission and have a fair few weddings over the past couple of years to catch up on! We'll kick start with Natasha and Matt who got married last June with a super beautiful and relaxed back garden wedding reception near Newark. I joined Natasha and her wonderful sister Lauren at her house for some chilled bridal prep, we drank tea, chatted about our favourite Disney princess’ and I took photos whilst they got ready. Once the girls were dressed we then headed towards Norwell where we met the rest of the bridal party outside the church. St Lawrence at Norwell provided a beautiful church ceremony and a lovely place for some guest candids and group shots. Some of the guests hopped in cars, others walked, literally, down the road to be greeted by an afternoon tea reception in Matts’ parents garden.

While the guests made their way to the reception venue I took 15 minutes to do some couple portraits with Natasha & Matt, there was a beautiful pastel arched doorway opposite the church which I bee-lined for and made a beautiful backdrop. When we arrived back at Matts’ parents one of their friends carried out a lovely blessing for them which was magical to witness.

The rest of the afternoon consisted of the most divine food (I’m a sucker for an afternoon tea!), hilarious speeches, an ice cream van and even some axe throwing! I also managed to steal another 15 minutes later in the evening to do some portraits in the prettiest golden light!

I absolutely LOVED photographing a back-garden wedding and it just goes to show you don’t need to book a ‘venue’ as such to have an amazing wedding!

Also as a side note, Natasha & Matt will be welcoming a baby boy into their lives soon, so congratulations again!
