How to nail your wedding confetti photo

One photo I always love taking at a wedding is the confetti shot! It’s super fun for all involved and looks bloody epic, providing you have enough confetti! So if you want to know how to nail your confetti photo then keep on reading and i’ll fill you in on some tips and tricks I’ve learnt along the way!

Plan it into your timeline

The best way to ensure your photo is awesome and everyone is involved, definitely plan it happening into your timeline so not only does your photographer know when to expect it, your guests are ready too! I personally think just after the ceremony is the best time to do it, so either after you’ve exited the ceremony and headed outside, or if you’re having an outdoors wedding, particularly festival style, I think it’s awesome if your guests shower you with it AS you’re walking back down the aisle.

Make sure you have enough!

The second best piece of advice I can give is to make sure you have enough! The best rule of thumb is decide how much you need… and then double it! An epic confetti photo is never going to happen if you just rely in the little box aunty Sharon picked up in Card Factory! So gone are the days of guests bringing their own, it’s all pretty much down to you providing what you want!

Follow your venues rules

All venues have different rules when it comes to confetti, so to make sure you don’t piss them off I’d definitely ask them this, well ahead of time and follow what they sayl Some actually don’t allow any physical confetti so you may want to start considering bubbles (which look super awesome too!) Some only allow dried flowers, biodegradable etc.

Keep it bio-degradable

So this one is more of a personal opinion, but I think there is already so much waste at weddings that anything you can do to be more eco-conscious and consider the environment around you is awesome.
